Get the Open VSIX Gallery extension

To get automatic updates to installed extensions that publish nightly builds to this website, simply install the Open VSIX Gallery extension. It registers the main feed in Visual Studio for you and is the easiest option for all Visual Studio editions. Visual Studio Enterprise users can instead choose specific feeds with the manual setup below.

Choose the right feed

There are several feeds in this gallery you can subscribe to.

The main feed

By subscribing to the main feed you will be notified by Visual Studio whenever a listed extension in this gallery is updated. This is the best choice for most users.

Feed per author

Each author page links to a feed containing that author’s listed extensions, so you can follow only the publishers you trust.

Feed for individual extension

Each extension page links to its own feed. Use it when you only want updates for one extension.

Set up a feed manually

Additional extension galleries are a Visual Studio Enterprise feature. If you use another edition, install the extension above instead. In Visual Studio, open Tools > Options > Environment > Extensions. Under Additional Extension Galleries, select Add.

1. Enter a descriptive name, such as Open VSIX Gallery.
2. Enter the feed URL. For the main feed, use https://www.vsixgallery.com/feed/.
3. Select OK to save the gallery.
